About Me

I’m Matt Clark, originally from Leamington Spa in Englandshire. Following seasons working in the Austrian and Italian Alps as a ski and kayak instructor, I studied kayaking and whisky (and a bit of Geography) at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. I’m now lucky enough to live in Innsbruck, Austria – the capital of the Alps.

My main passion in life is skiing, which I’m able to do September to June. I’ve been really getting into ski touring the last couple of seasons; it’s amazing how long powder lasts untracked away from the lifts, plus you can access some really incredible terrain.

When summer comes knocking and the snow starts to melt, it’s time to bring the kayak out. There’s nothing more refreshing on a 40 degree day than to go kayaking on cool glacial waters in just a buoyancy aid and boardshorts.

I’ve also caught the travel bug, and hope to do at least one big trip away somewhere new each year.
